Developmental Education

Developmental Educators (also referred to as DE’s) are multi-disciplinary disability specialists. They can help individuals and families build new skills, independence and quality of life.

As allied health professionals they can work with you, your family and support networks to develop effective strategies to support your learning goals – whether it is for fostering relationships, building self-care skills or access meaningful vocational experiences.

Our Developmental Educator currently holds membership with the Developmental Educators Australia Inc (DEAI) who are the professional association representing the unique, diverse and dynamic profession of Developmental Educators.


How can we support you?

  • Develop effective strategies to support your learning goals – whether it is for fostering relationships, building self-care skills or access meaningful vocational experiences.

  • Develop and implement skill development programs (transport training etc)

  • Undertake developmental and behavioural assessments

  • Support with routines and daily activities

  • Support with life style transitions eg.  primary school to high school, high school to work.

  • Support with managing emotions and building positive relationships.
